 Based in Nottingham, Mervyn is a photography-based artist. His work is derived from an initial photograph that serves as the starting point for his image-making, which is informed by a range of photographic and artistic movements. 

Julian Pinnick is Nottingham based artist specializing in oil painting and hand-drawn illustration. Over the past few years Julian has developed his own individual style of narrative paintings inspired by the urban environment.

 Isobelle Farrar is a local Notts freelance illustrator who loves all things colour and texture! Her work often explores narratives and themes of mythology and nature. Having worked with Left Lion, Isobelle has really begun making a name for herself.

 Mark has been a photographer for over 15 years. He finds Photography to be therapeutic and relishes in the challenge of capturing a unique perspective of this place we call home, and then sharing his results with the world.

 Toms focus is to describe the human form by utilising traditional media to capture the beauty of the figure. His aim is both towards understanding the figure intimately, to tell story, and represent emotions we all feel. Art, for Tom, is a vehicle to connect.

 2026 has been Emily's breakthrough year. In June, she was chosen to design the front cover of Nottingham’s much-loved LeftLion Magazine! We’re thrilled to showcase her incredible artwork alongside her wonderfully quirky and creative snail mail packets. 

 Tom's practice centres around human hybrids from folklore and Greek mythology, focusing on their use to embody the complexities of human nature. By combining the human form with the anatomy of other creatures, he creates new beings populating a mythology of his own.
